Surprise Inspection of Ballarpur Area, On September 13, 2026. Shri Sandeep S. Paranjape, Director (Technical – P&P), WCL HQ, along with Shri Nitin Sen, Technical Secretary to DTP&P, conducted a comprehensive surprise inspection of the mines and units in the Ballarpur area.
The visit was guided throughout by respected Area General Manager, Shri Rajendra Thakre and was attended by all Area HODs, mine managers, sub-managers, and respective officials.

* Doptala Open Cast Mine
* Sasti Open Cast Mine
* Amalgamated Gauri Pouni Expansion OCM
* Gauri Deep /Central OCM.
Detailed review of production targets, machinery deployment, and active quarterly tasks in all disciplines.
* Coal Dispatches & stock liquidation: Thorough assessment of road and rail dispatches .
